Non-Fiction Text Features Scavenger Hunt

Today students browsed through non-fiction books in search of text features (for examples table of contents, glossaries, graphs, maps, comparison charts, etc.). Afterwards, they presented one of the text features they found to the rest of the class and explained how it helped them understand what they were reading.
