Sorting 3D Shapes in Stop Motion Animation

posted Mar 28, 2011, 3:36 PM by Patrick Johnson
We had an exciting math period today! Students sorted 3D shapes into groups and then created a stop motion animation of the shapes being sorted.

Learning Goal: We are learning to sort 3D shapes by their geometric properties.

Success Criteria:
I have thought about the geometric properties (sides, vertices, faces) of the 3D shapes.
I can sort the 3D shapes into at least 2 groups.
I can justify why I placed the 3D shape in a particular group.
I can label my groups.
