Skating Trips

I am excited to annouce that we will be skating 4 times in the new year. We will be skating Jan 14th, 21st, 28th and Feb. 4th. Permission forms were sent home today (Dec 17th). I will also do my best to scan the permission form and post it online (it is a rather long form so it may be difficult).
Some important things to keep in mind for our trip:
-All children and adults (including teachers) must where an approved CSA helmet designed for skating/hockey. Bicycle and skateboard helmets are not acceptable. The school does not have any helmets to lend out. Children also need to have gloves (mitts etc to keep their hands warm).
-Volunteers are welcome on the trip and in the changing rooms. Volunteers must be board approved and be on the current volunteer list (I always encouraged parents to confirm with the office whether they are on the list before any trip). If you are not an approved volunteer list, you are not allowed in the changing area or on the ice.
-Anyone who is going on the ice must have skates on.
-Please do not ask me to arrange to have your child's skates sharpened.
Thank-you for your understanding with the above information. The skating trips should be a lot of fun! Please do not hesitate to write, call or e-mail me if you have any questions or concerns.
Have a terrific holiday!
