New Technology in our Workstations

I added some new technology to our Literary/Math Workstations. In our math workstation (which we integrate into our literacy workstation time), students now have the option of using an ipod touch to do math. The app I installed on it is called Jungle Time. It is a neat application to learn about telling time. Our word work literacy workstation now has the option of doing stop motion animation with words. Students use a program called Frames 4 and a webcam to animate words. For example they might spell a word wall word with magnetic letters and take a picture then scatter the letters and take a second picture. When the frames are all linked together (after repeating this process with 7 or 8 words) it creates a short video where they can then add music, sound effects and transitions.
