Today students were introduced to their next reading super power: The power of asking good questions. Good readers ask questions before they read (e.g. questions based on doing a picture walk or title), while they read (e.g. how is the character going to solve their problem) and after they read (e.g. evaluating a character's actions). Learning Goal: We are learning to ask questions before, during and after we read in order to increase our understanding of what we are reading. Success Criteria: I can ask questions before I read. I can ask questions while I read. I can ask questions after I read. I can ask deeper thinking questions and not just quick questions. I can find the answers in the book to my questions. I can find the answers within my self to the questions. |
