Welcome to our class blog!

I am a graduate of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto (Bachelor of Education, Primary/Junior division). I also received my undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto (Bachelor of Honours in Science, Psychology/ Philosophy).

I have over 20 years of experience working with children. Before I became a teacher I worked at the Holland Bloorview Centre in Toronto, a research and rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities, as well as at the Bloorview School, which is on site. I also worked at various camps in Ontario for children with disabilities, such as Camp Kodiak, St. Albans Boys and Girls Club and Easter Seal's Merrywood Camp. I have always enjoyed working with children and look forward to my 15h year of teaching. I taught for 11 years at Goodfellow Public School in their primary division and this is my 4th year of teaching at Maple Grove!

My interests include playing piano and guitar, singing, swimming and technology. I have two sons. Owen is 12 years old and Parker will be 10 in October.

Check back often because I will be posting more information before the start of the school year.

Best regards,
P. Johnson
