Snow Day Math Measurement Activity

Today, on the snow day, we combined the grade 2 and 3 classes to teach this math lesson. Students were learning to measure objects using non-standard units (cubes). Students also worked with a partner and had to assess how well they collaborated with their partner.

After students estimated and measured their objects, we made a class graph by placing the objects measured (in cubes) on a number line.

Finally, student reflected on how well they collaborated with their partner using this checklist:
