Today we read Knuffle Bunny. Knuffle bunny has few words so we relied on picture clues and our own life experiences to help us understand the story.
Some of the inferences we made:
-Knuffle Bunny was very important to Trixie because she held it so close to her and did not leave the house without it.
-When Trixie realized she left Knuffle Bunny at the laundry mat, she tried to tell her Dad but Dad thought she was saying something about going home.
-Trixie was really frustrated that her Dad didn't understand that Knuffle Bunny was left in the laundry mat.
-Trixie said "Wumby Flabby" and pointed which was her way of asking her Dad to please go back to get Knuffle Bunny.
-Dad felt very guilty when he realized Knuffle Bunny was left at the laundry mat because he thought Trixie was just having a temper tantrum and was being difficult.
-We thought that if they did not find Knuffle Bunny then they might buy her a new stuffy that in time might replace Knuffle Bunny.
