Today students made stop motion videos using iPads and whiteboards. Their goal was to make stop motion videos that showed real world examples of multiplication.

First students were shown a variety of photos as inspiration. They were asked to look at the photos using their math eyes. Students quickly found and discussed examples of multiplication.

Next students were given their task. Students were asked to make stop motion videos using iPads and whiteboards and to incorporate real world examples of multiplication.

Then students were shown an example of a stop motion video made using a whiteboard. Students identified various animation techniques used in the video.

Finally, students collaborated with a partner to shoot their video using the Stop Motion app on the iPad. They used iMovie to add sound effects and music.
