Practising Calculating Coin Value Using QR Codes

Today students practised calculating the value of coins. First students, on stickies, were challenged to find as many ways as the could to make $0.25. Then students, in partners, used iPads to scan QR Codes in the hallway. Each QR code linked to an image of a group of coins. Students calculated and recorded the value of the coins. Finally, students showed how to make the same value but with a different combination of coins.
