Today students continued their work on finding key words and summarizing important information.

First students made predictions on the text below based on the photos, caption boxes and headings. Then students read the article one paragraph at a time, summarizing each paragraph by writing down 3 or 4 key words. Next students wrote $2 summaries (each word is worth 10 cents but sand dunes are considered free words) to summarize the important ideas from the article. Finally students read their summaries and the audio was posted to our Youtube channel.
